Touching message to firefighters who saved her

ROAD ACCIDENT: Two months Pregnant, a woman had been victim of a terrible traffic accident in the Oise

On Monday, the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of the Oise received a message from a victim of an accident last September. In a few sentences, this 40-year-old woman thanks firefighters for saving her life when she was two months pregnant.

The drama took place on September 29th, around 4.30pm, on the road at the exit of the village of Jouy-la-Grange, south of Beauvais, in the Oise . Two cars had crashed violently. One of the vehicles was driven by a 39-year-old pregnant woman. Many firefighters had been mobilised from the barracks of Beauvais, Chaumont-en-Vexin, Auneuil and Méru. The rescue had taken two hours and a half to extricate the victim from the passenger compartment of the car before we could transport her to the hospital.

Mum and baby are doing very well

Seven months later, this woman, named Delphine, gave birth to a little boy when she had just turned 40 years old. Two events that she wanted to share with the firefighters “who saved us, baby and me,” she wrote in a message sent on Facebook.

The Sdis teams were very touched by this message, accompanied by “several pictures of a beautiful baby”. The Oise firefighters immediately launched an invitation to the family: “It will be a real pleasure to welcome you to one of our operational units to celebrate life together! “
