Calls from yellow vests to block the borders of France

What will happen this Saturday for a possible act VI of the “Yellow Vests”. A call has been made to block borders and prevent trucks from circulating before Christmas.

What will Act VI of the “Yellow Vests” look like on Saturday 22nd December, a few days before Christmas ? Despite the announcements of Emmanuel Macron and the government, members of the movement want to continue the mobilisation and demand new measures such as the introduction of the Referendum of citizens’ initiative (RIC). Some call for actions at the borders of the country.

The leaders of the “France in anger”,  Priscillia Ludosky and Eric Drouet , called for the “Yellow Vests” of cities and rural areas to mobilize at the borders to disrupt traffic. She says, in Parisian :

“Border mobilisation is not new. Many people in the regions came to Paris. This time, they are offered to join the Vests yellow borders. “

A call to “block trucks and let individuals pass” is planned. The Facebook event featured 1,000 participants and more than 5,200 people interested.

Blocking points in the Hauts-de-France, Occitania, the Grand Est …

Several blocking points are planned in four regions of France ( Hauts-de-France, Occitan, Grand Est, PACA ), according to “France angry”.

  • Tourcoing (for Belgium)
  • Dunkerque (for Belgium)
  • Hertain (for Belgium)
  • Strasbourg-Khel (for Germany)
  • Gambsheim (for Germany)
  • Menton-Ventimiglia (for Italy)
  • Mont Blanc Tunnel (for Italy)
  • The Perthus (for Spain)
  • Le Boulou (for Spain)
  • La Jonquera (for Spain)

Buses chartered to reach the borders

In the Pyrénées-Orientales,  all the “yellow vests” of the territory are invited to “invade” the A9 motorway at the toll barrier at Boulou au Perthus.

According to L’Indépendant , buses will be chartered to the Spanish border from Montpellier, Albi-Castres, Montauban, Toulouse and Nîmes.

Priscillia Ludosky confirmed that bus companies “sympathisers” of the movement would charter vehicles to participate in border operations.

Actions could also be carried out in Lorraine with the three borders: at the point of entry of the A31 towards Luxembourg, in Meurthe-et-Moselle towards Belgium and in the east of the department of Moselle for the Germany.

Ports blocked in Brittany and in the Pays de la Loire?

It is not only the border regions that could be affected but also the port areas of Brittany and Pays de la Loire.

Thus, the ports of  Brest , Saint-Malo and Saint-Nazaire are also in the viewfinder of “Yellow Vests” this weekend. On Tuesday, the police again intervened to remove the facilities of the demonstrators on the roundabout of the port of Saint-Malo .
