Storm , big tidal coefficient, high tide, sun and holiday: all the ingredients were there for the large crowd massed on the edge of the ocean to the Sables d’Olonne on Monday 1 January 2018. The along the wild coast, at Chaume, between the large pier and Paracou, closed to traffic because of the risk of flooding, it was difficult to park as the public came.
After the storms of the morning and the evening, a weather still quite unusual in this season, the arrival of the sun in early afternoon struck the hour of the walk. It only remained to wait for high tide shortly after 4 pm, so that the raging ocean by Carmen storm makes the show.
