Toulouse: The Christmas market is Returning to Capitol Square

The Christmas market in Toulouse will be open until December 26.

From the 24th November, 2017, the cottages of the Christmas market are back at Capitol Square in Toulouse.They will remain there until after Christmas. Here is the program.

The good smell of wine or hot chocolate which mingle with aromas of aligot and tartiflette. These emanations, Toulouse will feel from November 24th, 2017, with the return of the Christmas market on the Place du Capitole in Toulouse.

A hundred chalets

A hundred chalets are located outside the town hall. Several themes were identified: Christmas decorations; jewelry; games and toys ; gastronomy and traditions; craft in the world, catering, clothing and household equipment; decoration and table arts and crafts center.

From the creators of the region at the craft center

Four cottages will be dedicated to this craft pole  : they will host new creative trend in the region. For two day period, these designers will settle alternately in cottages numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4. Again the counter products will be varied: toys, jewelry, Christmas decorations, accessories …

Culinary, as every year, the queues would be long before the stand dedicated to the aligot, the truffles and tartiflette. Ten other cottages are dedicated to the restoration: sandwiches, burgers, soups and even Nepalese specialties will thus be offered until after Christmas.

Santa will be there every day

Of course Santa Claus will be present . Children can meet him every day in his cottage.

Note the Christmas market in Toulouse is accessible to people with reduced mobility and visually impaired: wide aisles and shelves cottages for wheelchair height facilitate walking and shopping for all.

Christmas solidarity




Several associations are mobilized throughout the Christmas market. The chalet will be 102 in their dedicated purpose. Alternately the Oncopole, Unicef, the Telethon, Amnesty International or the social center of Izards Borderouge will settle particular place du Capitole.

Finally the Christmas market opts for eco-responsibility with cloth bags produced specially for the event, biodegradable cups, lights with LED bulbs with low consumption and selective sorting bins.

Note the street lights of Toulouse will be officially inaugurated Saturday 9th December, 2017 as will the Santa Claus Village.

Practical information:
Opening November 24, 2017 at 10am. Then open Sunday to Thursday from 10.30am to 8.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays from 10.30am to 10pm.
