A 5 year old child and his grandfather died Tuesday afternoon in the explosion of their car near the school in a village in Seine-et-Marne, reported the police this Wednesday.
At 4pm on Tuesday, the grandfather picked up his grandson at the school of Saint-Loup-de-Naud near Provins, and both boarded the vehicle. According to the account of a witness , “the car rolled 50 meters and the fire started at the fuel tank, and then there was an explosion”.
Called to the scene, firefighters could only note the death of the man and the child. Findings were held overnight and were to continue on Wednesday, but investigators from the Melun judicial police are moving towards the thesis of the accident.
