Three road traffic accidents happened on the expressway this morning on areas of Quéven and Landaul.
At 11.30am on Monday, firefighters from Lorient, Auray and Carnac, as well as the gendarmerie from Scorff Pont d’Auray and the DIRO are alerted to a series of accidents that just happen, one after another, on the RN 165 in the direction of Vannes – Quimper.
Ferrari on the roof
Following the loss of control of his vehicle for an unknown reason, the owner of a Ferrari found themselves in an awkward position on the right lane in the direction of Quimper. The car had landed on its roof, the four occupants escaped on their own and were supported by firefighters from Lorient. Slightly injured, they were taken to the hospital of Lorient. The accident caused a slowdown from 5 kilometers to the interchange of Lann-Sévelin.
Six vehicles involved in Landaul
Meanwhile, two other accidents occurred, at 1 km intervals in the direction of Vannes – Lorient, at the town of Landaul. For undetermined reasons the vehicles crashed into the diving barriers of the central reservation before coming to rest. The one on the right lane, the other on the left lane. Six vehicles were involved in two accidents. The accident caused no injuries.
The accidents caused tallbacks
For one and a half hours, the traffic was delayed and traffic jams caused. The direction interdépartementale de routes nationale de l’ouest secured the area and controlled traffic on one lane for the duration of the intervention and the evacuation of damaged vehicles.
