Morgan Lagravière, Thursday suffered a damage in the Vendée Globe, arrived in South Africa in Cape Town on Saturday.

Morgan Lagravière, ranked well in this years Vendée Globe, was forced to retire due to damage on Thursday. The rookie has arrived this morning at 9.30, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Forced to retire from the Vendée Globe after damage suffered by his Safran monohull on Thursday, Morgan Lagravière arrived this morning at 9.30, in Cape Town, South Africa. A disappointment for the young rookie, yet well rated.

The skipper of Safran was welcomed by the team of Vincent Riou, also forced to retire a few days earlier. His team is expected to repair the damage at sea before returning to France.
