A man was killed Thursday by police outside a police station in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, as he tried to enter the building, according to police sources. According to France Info, the man was wearing an explosive belt and was shouting Allahu Akhbar as well as carrying a picture of the Islamic State Flag. BFM TV states that a bomb squad is on site.
According to residents, the area was cordoned off and police would have given safety instructions:

A trader confirms that shortly after noon, plainclothes policemen asked him to lower the blinds of the shop.
