Quimper Airport: New Plane to Paris in March 2018

Friday 12 January, 2018, the President of the CCIMBO Quimper has made several announcements on the airport and the airline to Paris.

Upon their return to the commands of Quimper-Cornouaille Airport on the 1st January 2017, elected to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Brittany Metropolitan (CCIMBO) had shown their willingness to get a new flight on the line to Paris-Orly.

For the record, since 2015, the service is provided by an ATR 72-600. The company Hop! presented this propeller plane “more efficient and uses less fuel. “But since its arrival, it has continued to attract criticism.

A jet instead of the propeller plane

From the end of March 2018, it must be replaced by an Embraer 145. This jet will ensure the daily flights of the morning and evening. It can carry 50 passengers on board.

This announcement was made Friday 12th January, 2018 by Jean-François Garrec , President of CCIMBO Quimper. “The time savings will be of 20 minutes,” he said.

“Our main objective remains the reliability of the Quimper-Paris line.”

Another announcement at the ceremony vows: for winter maintenance of a 70-seat aircraft. The establishment of a smaller plane was intended effect during the maintenance work of ART 72-600.

Finally, the seasonal flights between Quimper and Figari in Corsica will be in 2018 aboard a CRJ 1000 aircraft . The capacity is 100 seats instead of the 70 previously proposed.
