Sarzeau: The Small Village of Saint-Colombier is Cut in Two

The footbridge overlooking the D780 between Kerentré district and the town of Saint-Colombier was dismantled. It was damaged Monday by a truck that had not folded his crane.

“The small village of Saint-Colombier is again cut in two, sorry Régine Guyot, Director of primary school The Goblins. When we were informed Monday afternoon by the police of the closure of the bridge, we kept the children, who were concerned how the parents would come to pick them up. There was of course no question of letting them go by themselves for the crossing of the main road is impossible.”

Indeed, the bridge was closed following his damage caused on Monday by a truck that had not folded its crane properly.

“Essential for the transportation of children”

Families have therefore had to organize emergency the following day to transport their children. “The gateway is an essential asset for the village and its inhabitants. Parents even ask questions of the registration period for the next school year, deplores the director.  Especially side Kerentré where settled many families with young children. “

Régine Guyot concerned that the bond is not restored before the end of the school year, or even this summer, while the bridge is used by vacationers for walking or biking along the trails and bike paths .
