New England Patriots made history by winning their fifth Super Bowl tonight. The Patriots managed to reverse a historical gap in overtime for the first time in history.

As was predicted Donald Trump, the Patriots have taken over the Falcons, but they came from far away, as they were up to 25 points behind tonight in the final of the Super Bowl in Houston.

The US president was not in Houston and followed, as more than 100 million of his countrymen, the match on his television. But it was in the minds of many fans, viewers and advertisers even after his first weeks in the White House who have created serious tensions in the country.

On the ground, in front of 70,000 spectators at the NRG Stadium in Houston, the Patriots, the team that many Americans love to hate, especially because its owner, coach and star Tom Brady are close to Mr. Trump, were surprised by the aggressive defense of Atlanta.

Brady, who won a fifth Super Bowl at the age of 39, a supreme title, never-seen for a quarterback, first suffered as rarely in his career. After a first period in which both teams stayed back to back without scoring any points, the Patriots lost their way in the second period by conceding three touchdowns.

Utter humiliation, so he could give his team its first points, Brady, considered by many the best player in history, saw one of his passes intercepted by Robert Alford. He tried in vain to press the Atlanta player who flew to the in-goal and the Patriots rallied the locker room with 18 points behind (21-3).

They started the third period of the worst ways conceding a fourth touchdown to be 25 points behind (28-3). Despite the monumental task before them, the largest deficit erased in the history of the Super Bowl was ten points, the Patriots were not discouraged and snatched the equalizer with a risky transformation in hand, with a two point conversion to draw level at 28-28, sending for the first time in the history of Super Bowl both teams into overtime.

New England quickly materialized its dominance to mark a touchdown victory after just four minutes into overtime by James White, his third of the evening. “We never gave up and always believed in us, this team is incredible,” insisted Brady voted player of the match.
