Wednesday morning, an accident took place in Chasseneuil a little before 6am. A truck carrying mascarpone and foodstuffs hit three other trucks parked on the RN141 in the direction Limoges-Angouleme. The truck driver, seriously injured, had to be cut out of the cab of the truck by a specialized accident team. He has been medicalized locally by the hospital at Angouleme. The other three, who were sleeping in their truck at impact, are fine.
The circulation is cut off in that direction and diverted on the the former 141 in the town of Chasseneuil. This deviation, which will cause a distruption and delays is expected to last for several hours, as the gendarmes are waiting for specialized companies to remove the damaged trucks and to clean the road surface, made slippery from by the diesel from the fuel tanks.
