A feat achieved in just 13 months …

In just over a year, the first album of the winner of The Voice in 2014 entitled kendji just passed the million mark copies sold in France over the weekend.

With 6,000 copies sold last week, the album released in September 2014 shows a record of 1,004,100 copies sold, according to the count of Chartsinfrance.net.

Better than Céline Dion or Daft Punk

The young man becomes the third singer of the decade to reach this level of sales, after Adele’s album 21 (1.7 million copies) and  Stromae’s Album Racine carrée  (1.4 million copies). With these figures, it is better than other planetary success as Without waiting for Céline Dion in 2012 or Random Access Memories by Daft Punk in 2013.

Among the biggest hits of this album are, notably the singles Color Gitano, Elle m’a aimé, Cool et surtout Andalouse, stayed 57 weeks in the Top 100.

But the young 19 year singer does not intend to stop there, he has just released his new track: Me quemo, from his upcoming album due out in October before a new tour in 2016.
