As I mentioned in my previous post, the Ice Skating rink is now open in Chateaubriant.  Although only a temporary ice rink, it is proper ice and just over 500 square metres, so quite a few people can get on there and skate quite freely.  As promised I have managed to find out more information and a programme of the events.

As you can see from the above hours, on a Tuesday evening during school time, they are doing ice skating lessons, for all ages and abilities and costing just 4 Euros.  You need to reserve a place in advance though if you are interested.

Every Friday evening, from 8pm there is going to be a themed skating session with a DJ and lights to get the youngsters into a party mood, and with plenty of games to play on the ice as well.

The Ice skating is now open until the 18th January 2015, and is situated behind the Hotel de Ville, at place Ernest Bréant.
